Il Think Ahead Studio e' un boutique studio di medio formato, adatto a registrazioni, produzioni e mixaggi, implementato col sistema Dolby Atmos™, situato nel cuore del centro storico di Taranto in Puglia. La sala ripresa principale e' la lounge spaziosa del piano romano di un palazzo storico del 19º secolo. Le sue mura di "carparo" ed un alto soffitto a botte creano un ambiente sonoro estremamente dettagliato e musicale, perfetto per qualsiasi produzione che richieda un "carattere" diverso da quello degli asettici studi di largo formato.


In regia usiamo un banco Oram 16ch T Series, equipaggiato con i leggendari equalizzatori e preamp Oram, cablato ad un convertitore Antelope Audio Orion 32+ Gen 3.

Il Think Ahead Studio e' ora implementato con il sistema di mixaggio in Dolby Atmos™.

Dolby Atmos™ e' il sistema di "audio immersivo" sviluppato da Dolby inizialmente per il cinema e poi anche per la musica. A differenza dello standard Stereo, il Dolby Atmos™ da' vita ad una nuova ed incredibile esperienza di ascolto basata su 128 canali audio (invece che 2!!!) gestiti all'interno di un ambiente virtuale che permette all'ascoltatore di sentirsi completamente immerso nella performance musicale. Per ascoltare la musica in Dolby Atmos™ non e' necessario un impianto di home theatre dedicato (con un minimo di 12 casse incluso il sub woofer) ma e' possibile ascoltarlo con qualsiasi cuffia nel suo formato "Binaurale". Questa e' la piu' grande novita' apportata da Dolby Atmos™ perche' non si ha bisogno di investire in un home theatre ma si puo' ascoltarlo anche semplicemente da un cellulare che sia abilitato all'ascolto del formato stesso (la quasi totalita' degli smartphone contemporanei e' predisposta al formato Dolby Atmos™).

Dal 2024 tutti i mix completati al Think Ahead Studio da Marco Schnabl saranno consegnati in entrambi i format, Stereo e Dolby Atmos™

Think Ahead Studio e Dolby Atmos™

Marco Schnabl ha vissuto e lavorato a Londra per 13 anni come musicista, sound engineer, mixing engineer, producer e compositore, suonando in Europa e Stati Uniti con la sua ex band (i Foghenaist aka Mother of Pearl). Ha lavorato nei piu' grandi studi della capitale britannica (Metropolis, Sphere, Wendy House...) ed ha registrato, mixato e prodotto decine di artisti in Inghilterra ed Italia. Ha registrato l'Orchestra Sinfonica Bulgara allo studio SIF309 di Sofia ed ha collaborato con Chris Kimsey, Duran Duran, Guy Farley, Fabrizio Simoncioni, Matteo Fasolino, Federico Monti Arduini, Roberto Vernetti, Antonio Forcione, Tallulah Rendall, Roger "RR" Russell, Russell Watson, Richard Derbyshire, Kim Mazelle, Alex Von Soos, Jim Barber.E' stato il primo italiano ad essere ammesso come lecturer all'Islington Music Workshop di Londra dove per nove anni ha insegnato ingegneria del suono e tecnologia della musica. Ha insegnato le stesse materie all'Alchemea School of Sound per tre anni.

E' un Avid Pro Tools Operator qualificato ed in Italia produce, mixa e registra musica nel suo studio privato, il Think Ahead Studio.
